( since the project closed down, ive managed to get ahold of somebody who's got ties to a remake of the game, not done yet but they added pyon into the game after we weren't able to! that. genuinely makes me happier than it should since i was the guy that came up with that shit to begin with.)

we're currently starting the development of pyon's route, for those that are looking forward to it! I've heard a lot of excitement regarding this character and can't wait for people to meet him. I honestly had SO MUCH fun picking out a design and might leak a few concepts! bare with me!

something we've been unsure about is keeping the tuxedo-bunnysuit mix thing, as it feels a little too classy for his personality. however generally its receieved a lot of positive feedback! perhaps it could have a similar function to sunhat's (well uh) sunhat, in a way that he can pulls stars out of it or stars come out of it in the same way he creates them when he's happy!

im still coming up with possible sprite concepts and those seen in the trailer may not be final. if anyone has any ideas ill be willing to take them!

honestly, so far my favourite part of development has in creating sour's beach segment. i know, i know, shitty beach filler oooo! oh how cliche! but nah, genuinely it was an opportunity for the crew to loosen up a little and make something more self indulgent. things have been a LITTLE stressful at the moment with timings and a small issue with the music guy.

as the guy that does our spritework, drawing the characters in swimsuits was funny anyways. the cast deserves a break too :)

something im really enjoying at the moment is making silly backgrounds for the game. they're kinda cheap but i tend to pixelate places i visit or photos i take while im out and add colours that are suitable to the route over them.

it usually goes well with the sprites from what ive seen, mixing the 8bit, unnatural feel with the smoother lines of the actual sprites themselves. good contrast!

god bless the add blending mode, i dont know what i'd do without you. - yours, blondeass.
